Sassy Senior in a RoadTrek

And so it began …

In March of 2020, right at the beginning of the COVID shutdown, my husband passed away after a long illness. It was a difficult time for everyone, and I felt it even more as I was stuck at home, alone, while grieving.

We had often talked of someday buying an RV and traveling around the United States, but his failing health kept that from happening. We did, however, take several roadtrips in my new Honda CR-V, but the daily lugging things in and out of hotels was taxing on his strength. An RV would have been SO helpful!

A year after he passed, I spotted a Roadtrek for sale, had it checked out by my mechanic, and bought it on the spot! Within a month I took my first overnight trip to test the waters, within 200 miles of home. I loved it, and couldn’t wait to make longer trips! The following posts are of my travels in the Roadtrek, as well as a few overseas adventures! I hope you enjoy my DeeTours.
